ഫാൻസാ -കേരള ചാപ്‌റ്റർ -ൻറെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ  സംസ്ഥാന വർക്ക്ഷോപ്പ് 2016 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 25 ന്കോഴിക്കോട് OISCA  YOUTH CENTER -ൽ  വച്ച്  നടത്തി . വർക്ക്ഷോപ്പ് 2016-ൻറെ  ഉത്‌ഘാടനം  മുൻ മന്ത്രി  ഡോ എം .കെ .മുനീർ സാഹിബ്  നിർവഹിച്ചു . ഫാൻസാ  കോ -കൺവീനർ പി.സി   മിശ്ര (ഒറീസ ) അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു  .OISCA  ഡയറക്ടർ എം . അരവിന്ദ് ബാബു  സ്വാഗതം പറഞ്ഞു.ശ്രി .സി.വി  ജോയി (ഡയറക്ടർ ശുചിത്വാ മിഷൻ ,ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ഓഫ് കേരള ),ഡോ .റോയി കുഞ്ഞപ്പി ,(NSC MEMBER ) പ്രൊഫ്. ജോൺ കുരാക്കാർ (STATE  CONVENOR ,FANSA )ശ്രിമതി കൃപാ വാര്യർ (PROGRAAME OFFICER ,SUCHITWA  MISSION ) എന്നിവർ  പ്രസംഗിച്ചു .

11 ,30  ന് രണ്ടാമത്തെ  സെഷൻ  ആരംഭിച്ചു .OISCA  SECRETARY  പ്രൊഫ്. തോമസ് തേവര  മോഡറേറ്റർ  ആയിരുന്നു .ശ്രി .ബാലക്കുറുപ്പ് , ശ്രി. പി.കെ നളിനാക്ഷൻ , കുമാരി ഹിരാൾ സമ്പത് , ഡോ .പാർവതി വാര്യർ , പ്രമോദ്  എന്നിവർ പ്രബന്ധങ്ങൾ  അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു . കേരള ചാപ്റ്റർ  നെറ്റ് വർക്ക് അംഗങ്ങളായ  ഡോ . റോയി കുഞ്ഞപ്പി , പ്രൊഫ്. ജോൺ കുരാക്കാർ ,അഡ്വക്കേറ്റ് സാജൻ കോശി , ഡോ . ജേക്കബ് കുരാക്കാർ , ബാബു ഉമ്മൻ , ചെറിയാൻ പി. കോശി , യോഹന്നാൻ കുട്ടി  പ്രിൻസ് തലച്ചിറ ,അലക്സാണ്ടർ ജേക്കബ്  എന്നിവർ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു .പുതിയ   കേരള ചാപ്റ്റർ കൺവീനറായി  അരവിന്ദ് ബാബുവിനെ  സമ്മേളനം  അംഗീകരിച്ചു .  വൈകിട്ട്  5 മണിക്ക് വർക്ക് ഷോപ്പ് സമാപിച്ചു .

Prof. John Kurakar, the second son of Mr. P.G Mathew Kurakar was born in the 1952. Mrs. Thankamma Mathew was the Mother.

Education Qualification

Prof John Kurakar who has post graduate Degree along with research degree (M.phil), was professor and HOD of Malayalam Department of St. Gregorious College Kottarakara. Educations from St. Gregorios College Kottarakara, NSS College Nilamel, Catholicate College Pathanamthitta, and University Centre Kariavattom.

Prof. John Kurakar, Global Council Trustee of United Religions Initiative (U.R.I) received Pravasi Bharathi Vidya Srestha Awrd-2016 on 11^th January at V.J.T Hall Thiruvananthapuram. URI Member Rev. Fr.  O.Thomas awarded with “Spiritual Award and Mr. P.K Ramachandran Nair was awarded “Karma yoga award “Prof. Kurakar was unanimously chosen by the award selection committee considering his dedicated work in the field of Education and U.R.I Activities  In India.

14th Pravasi Bharathi (Kerala) Awards 2016 “Pravasi Bharathiya Diwas” was declared by the Government of India in the year 2002 for honoring NRIs all over the world, for their contribution for the economic development of our nation and recognizing their role in the welfare of the society. January 9 is fixed for the Pravasi Bharathi Day Celebrations every year, by the Central Government. In Kerala, Pravasi Bharathi Day Celebrations are organized every year since 2003, under the auspices of Pravasi Bharathi News Bullettin, NRI Co-ordination Council and regional committee comprising of social and political leaders.

During these celebrations, prominent NRIs and eminent personalities from political, cultural, business, health and humanitarian sectors, who excel in their respective areas, are also felicitated and honoured with awards. They also give financial assistance to those gulf returnees who are suffering from diseases and poverty.

In the previous years, the celebrations were held at Trivandrum in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2010 , 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 at Ernakulum in 2006, at Kannur in 2007 and at Kozhikode in 2008.

PROF. JOHN KURAKAR PARTICIPATED   INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ECUMENISAM AND SECULARISM AT BANGALORE E.C.C

Prof John Kurakar, Global Council Trustee of the United Religions Initiative and Advocate Sajan Koshy, U.R.I South India Region convener actively participated in the International Conference at Bangalore E.C.C on 17 t0 19 th march,2015.ECC is a International Ecumenical Christian Center founded by very Rev.  M. A. Thomas.

Very Rev.Dr. Cherian Thomas, Director of the center inaugurated the national conference at 8.30 A M. on 17^th Marhch, 2015. Rev. Dr. Reji Samuel welcomed the delegates. ECC Bangalore conducted many programs were geared to bring about a secular democratic, just and egalitarian society based on selfless love, a society that strives for welfare and unity of all people irrespective of caste,colour,creed and gender. The constitution of our country guarantees all people social, economic and political justice, liberty of thought, expression, belief,faith and worship, equality of status and opportunity and fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and unity and integrity of the nation. Building up a society based on justice, Liberty, equality and fraternity is participating in nation building

We live in a plurastic society. In India we have plurality of religious of cultures of languages and so on. Plurality has its own beauty as different flowers in a garden. It is god’s creation and we are called to maintain that plurality is a gift from God. God never make carbon copies but  he make originals. Plurality and diversity are God’s design. Everything has its own place and importance and value. Conflicts arise when one tries to replace the others. There can be no peace in the world without peace between religions. The Republic of India did not declare any religion as a state religion rather it declares itself as a secular republic which is essential for co-existence of religions. The Indian version of “secular” means the state shall give equal respects to all religions.
